Plaza de Europa

Plaza de Europa is a square in the District VII of L'Hospitalet de Llobregat (suburb of Barcelona, Catalonia in Spain). Located on the Granvia de l'Hospitalet avenue at the intersection with Carrer d'Amadeu Torner. It is part of L'Hospitalet's recent urban development, and one of its biggest squares at 33 ha, with a distinguishable skyline made up of high-rises, among the tallest structures in the city, some of which are designed by the renowned architect Toyo Ito. It is expected to become its economic centre, and will allow different parts of the city formerly severed by the Granvia to become interconnected. It is still not completed but already featuring most of its planned buildings and infrastructure. Part of Fira de Barcelona, near it stand the pavilons of rest of Fira de Barcelona and the shopping centre Gran Via 2.

Avinguda Carrilet station

Avinguda Carrilet, also known as L'Hospitalet Avinguda Carrilet, is an interchange complex underneath Avinguda Carrilet, in the L'Hospitalet de Llobregat municipality, to the south-west of Barcelona, in Catalonia, Spain. It consists of a railway station on the Llobregat–Anoia Line and a Barcelona Metro line 1 station. The Llobregat–Anoia Line station is served by Barcelona Metro line 8 , Baix Llobregat Metro lines S33, S4 and S8, and commuter rail lines R5, R6, R50 and R60. The services on the Llobregat–Anoia Line are operated by Ferrocarrils de la Generalitat de Catalunya , whilst the L1 is operated by Transports Metropolitans de Barcelona . The original at-grade station for the Llobregat–Anoia Line was opened in 1912 by the company Camino de Hierro del Nordeste . On 9 July 1985 , the line's section between Sant Josep and Cornellà Riera stations was put underground and the current station started operating. The L1 station dates from 1987, when the line was extended southwards from Torrassa station. It served as the L1's southern terminus until 1989, when that line was extended to Hospital de Bellvitge station. The platforms used by the Llobregat–Anoia Line are located between Rambla de la Marina and Plaça de la Mare de Déu de Montserrat. They comprise two island platforms, each flanked by a pair of tracks, with the two inner tracks on the main line and the outer tracks on loops off the main line. The L1 platforms are located underneath Rambla de la Marina, between Avinguda Carrilet and Carrer Prat de la Riba, comprising two 96-metre-long side platforms.

Hospital de Bellvitge

Hospital de Bellvitge, formerly known as Feixa Llarga, is a Barcelona Metro station, in the L'Hospitalet de Llobregat municipality of the Barcelona metropolitan area, and named after the nearby Bellvitge University Hospital. The station is the western terminus of line L1. The station lies under the car park of the hospital, between the hospital itself and the Gran Via de les Corts Catalanes. It has a single entrance and underground ticket hall, which gives access to two 96-metre (315 ft) long side platforms on a lower level. Beyond the platforms at the country end of the station are several storage and reversing sidings. The station opened in 1989, when line L1 was extended from Avinguda Carrilet station. It was originally known as Feixa Llarga, after the Estadi La Feixa Llarga, the football stadium of local team CE L'Hospitalet. It was given its current name in 2003. Future plans are for L1 to be extended from this station towards El Prat de Llobregat, where it will provide interchange with the planned joint section of lines L2 and L9 towards Barcelona Airport.

Santa Eulàlia

Santa Eulàlia is a Barcelona Metro station, just inside the boundary of the municipality of L'Hospitalet de Llobregat with the city of Barcelona, and named after the nearby Santa Eulàlia neighbourhood. The station is served by line L1. The station is situated alongside the south side of main line tracks from the western exit of Sants railway station, with the Pont de La Torrassa to the west and the Riera Blanca to the east. It has two 96-metre (315 ft) long side platforms, which are situated above street level at their eastern end and below ground at the western end, and has an overall roof. Both platforms have access from a below-track ticket hall on the Riera Blanca, and an above-track ticket hall linked to the Pont de La Torrassa. The Santa Eulàlia metro train depot is immediately to the south of the station. The station has existed on two different sites. The first, somewhat to the west of the current site, was opened in 1932 as the western terminus of a one stop extension of line L1 from Bordeta station. The station was relocated in 1983, at the time of the further extension of the line to Torrassa station. At the same time, Bordeta station was closed, as it was deemed too close to the new Santa Eulàlia station.

Torrassa

Torrassa is a Barcelona Metro station, in the L'Hospitalet de Llobregat municipality of the Barcelona metropolitan area, and named after the nearby La Torrassa neighbourhood. The station is served by line L1 and line L9. The station is located underneath the Avinguda Catalunya, between the Carrer d'Almeria and Carrer de Rosalía de Castro. There are two entrances, from Avinguda Torrent Gornal and Carrer d'Almeria, which serve a below ground ticket hall. The two 96-metre (315 ft) long side platforms are at a lower level. The station was opened in 1983, at the time of the extension of line L1 from Santa Eulàlia station. It remained the terminus of the line until 1987, when line L1 was further extended to Avinguda Carrilet station. Future plans are for Torrassa station to a link to a new Rodalies de Catalunya commuter rail station between L'Hospitalet de Llobregat and Barcelona Sants stations.

Collblanc

Collblanc is a station on line 5 and line 9 of the Barcelona Metro. The station is located underneath Carretera de Collblanc in L'Hospitalet de Llobregat, between Travessera de les Corts and Carrer Francesc Layret. It was opened in 1969 and served as terminus until the extension to Pubilla Cases station of the L1 in 1973. The name of the station was "San Ramón" (in Spanish) or "Sant Ramon" till the mid 1980s. In February 2016 was opened the L9 station. It's due to become part of future line L10 as well. The L1 is a side platform station and the L9 is a two levels station. It has a ticket hall on either end, the western one with two accesses at Carrer Francesc Layret and Carrer Doctor Martí Julià, the eastern one with one access at San Ramón. Is the nearest station to the Camp Nou, the stadium of FC Barcelona.

Fira

Fira, originally known as Fira 2 – Pedrosa, is a Barcelona Metro station serving Fira de Barcelona's Fira Gran Via major trade fair venue and the Pedrosa industrial park, in the L'Hospitalet de Llobregat municipality, to the south-west of Barcelona. It is situated underneath Avinguda Joan Carles I, at the intersection with Pedrosa and Botànica streets. It has a direct access to Fira Gran Via's main entrance. The station was designed by Japanese architect Toyo Ito. The station opened for passenger service on 12 February 2016, when the 20-kilometre-long (12 mi), 15-station portion belonging to Barcelona Metro line 9 between Barcelona–El Prat Airport and Zona Universitària station in western Barcelona started operating. Designated L9 Sud ("L9 South"), the new Barcelona Metro line 9 section offers a regular service frequency of 7 minutes in each direction, though additional partial services may be added if necessary.

Bellvitge railway station

Bellvitge is a Rodalies de Catalunya commuter rail station serving the neighborhood of the same name, in the L'Hospitalet de Llobregat municipality, to the south-west of Barcelona, in Catalonia, Spain. It is on the conventional Madrid–Barcelona railway, between El Prat de Llobregat and Barcelona Sants, and is served by all trains on Barcelona commuter rail service lines R2 and R2 Nord, as well as some R2 Sud trains. Some trains on regional line R15 also call at the station. Opened on 10 March 1977 (1977-03-10), the current at-grade station is projected to be put underground together with the rest of the conventional Madrid–Barcelona railway on its way through L'Hospitalet de Llobregat in the coming years. In October 2007, the construction works of the Madrid–Barcelona high-speed rail line in Barcelona's southern access, which runs through an underground route parallel to the conventional line in L'Hospitalet de Llobregat, caused a partial sudden collapse of one of the station's platforms. Due to precedent ground subsidiences in the area, the station was shut down as a preventive measure at the moment it occurred, so that there were neither fatalities nor injured people. Gornal station, served by Barcelona Metro line 8 and several commuter rail services, is located adjacent to Bellvitge station, on the east side of it, allowing for street-level transfers between the two stations. Rodalies de Catalunya's Bellvitge station should not be confused with the Barcelona Metro line 1 station of the same name, which is some 750 metres (2,460 ft) to the west.

Rambla Just Oliveras

Rambla Just Oliveras is a Barcelona Metro station, in the L'Hospitalet de Llobregat municipality of the Barcelona metropolitan area, and named after the nearby street of Rambla Just Oliveras. The station is served by line L1, and is adjacent to the L'Hospitalet de Llobregat railway station, the main Rodalies Barcelona and mid-distance transport hub in the area. The station is located under Rambla Just Oliveras between the Carrer de Parral and Avinguda de Can Serra. It can be accessed from entrances on the Rambla Just Oliveras, on the Avinguda de Can Serra and adjacent to the entrance to the mainline station on the Carrer dels Alps. All three entrances serve a common underground ticket hall, which gives access to two 95-metre (312 ft) long side platforms on a lower level. The station opened in 1987, when line L1 was extended from Torrassa station to Avinguda Carrilet station.

Europa – Fira station

Europa | Fira is a railway and metro station on the Llobregat–Anoia Line. It is located underneath Gran Via de les Corts Catalanes, near Plaça d'Europa and Carrer d'Amadeu Torner, in the L'Hospitalet de Llobregat municipality, to the south-west of Barcelona, in Catalonia, Spain. Opened on 13 May 2007 (2007-05-13), it was due to be named Amadeu Torner, in reference to the street of the same name. The station can be accessed from both sidewalks of Gran Via, serving as a major public transport access to the Gran Via business center. It is served by Line 8, Line 9, Baix Llobregat Metro lines S33, S4 and S8, and commuter rail lines R5, R6, R50 and R60. Barcelona Metro line 9 (designated L9 Sud) started services at the station on February 12, 2016, when the line's 20-kilometre-long (12 mi), 15-station portion between Barcelona–El Prat Airport and Zona Universitària station in western Barcelona opens for passenger service.
