Petite France

Petite France (쁘띠프랑스) is a French-style theme park that was constructed in July 2008 in Gyeonggi Province, South Korea.

Not to be confused with Camp A. A. Humphreys in Virginia, now known as Fort Belvoir. Camp Humphreys (Korean: 캠프 험프리스), also known as United States Army Garrison-Humphreys (USAG-H), is a United States Army garrison located near Anjeong-ri and Pyeongtaek metropolitan areas in South Korea. Camp Humphreys is home to Desiderio Army Airfield, the busiest U.S. Army airfield in Asia, with a 8,124-foot runway. In addition to the airfield, there are several U.S. Army direct support, transportation, and tactical units located there, including the Combat Aviation Brigade, 2d Infantry Division. The garrison has an area of 3,454 acres and cost US$11 billion. Camp Humphreys is the US’ largest overseas military base, housing some 500 buildings and amenities. In 2004, an agreement was reached between the United States and South Korean governments to move all U.S. forces to garrisons south of the Han River and relocate the United States Forces Korea and United Nations Command Headquarters to Camp Humphreys. Those movements were expected to be completed by 2016 and will transform Camp Humphreys into the largest U.S. Army garrison in Asia, but as of 2018 this has not yet happened. Under that plan, the 28,500 U.S. troop presence in South Korea will be consolidated by 2016 and United States Forces Korea will move from Yongsan Garrison in Seoul to Camp Humphreys. Camp Humphreys is 40 miles south of the former base in Seoul and about 60 miles from the Demilitarized Zone that divides North and South Korea. That puts the base about twice as far from North Korea as its predecessor, one of the main reasons for the move.

Osan Air Base

Osan Air Base (K-55; Korean: 오산공군기지; Hanja: 烏山空軍基地), is a United States Air Force base located near Songtan Station in the city of Pyeongtaek, South Korea, 64 km (40 mi) south of Seoul. Despite its name, Osan AB is not within Osan City, which is 7.5 km (4.7 mi) to the north. The base is the home of the Pacific Air Forces' 51st Fighter Wing, and a number of tenant units, including the headquarters for Seventh Air Force. The base is also the headquarters of the ROK Air Force Operations Command. Osan Air Base is also the departure and arrival point for U.S. government-contracted "Patriot Express" flights bringing service members and their family members to South Korea from Seattle-Tacoma International Airport in the U.S. state of Washington, Misawa Air Base and Yokota Air Base in Japan. As the most forward deployed permanently based wing in the Air Force, and equipped with A-10 Thunderbolt IIs and F-16 Fighting Falcons (about 48 aircraft), the 51st Fighter Wing is charged with executing combat operations, receiving follow-on forces and defending the base from attack. As the air component to United States Forces Korea and Combined Forces Command, 7th Air Force provides the command and control structures and personnel necessary to deliver precise, persistent, combined air and space power in defense of the Republic of Korea. Osan Air Base is one of two major U.S. Air Force installations operated by U.S. Forces Korea, the other being Kunsan Air Base.

Seoul Air Base

Seoul Air Base (IATA: SSN, ICAO: RKSM) (sometimes K-16 Air Base, Seoul Airport or Seongnam Air Base) is located in Seongnam city near Seoul in South Korea. Runway 19 and 20 are equipped with an ILS.

Suwon Bus Terminal

Suwon Bus Terminal is the main intercity and express bus station serving Suwon, a city in South Korea's north-west province of Gyeonggi-do. The station is located in Gwonseon-gu, 2.6km south-east of Suwon Station. Standing beside a branch of E-Mart, it is not to be confused with West Suwon Bus Terminal, which is located adjacent to a different branch of the same store.

Gwangmyeong station

Gwangmyeong Station (Hangul: 광명역) is a train station in Gwangmyeong, South Korea. The station was newly built as a stop of national railway operator Korail's KTX high-speed service, 22.0 km (13.7 mi) south of Seoul Station. The area surrounding the station is home to the world's largest IKEA store at 59,000 square meters (640,000 square feet), along with a large Costco store and a Lotte Premium Outlet.

Suwon station

Suwon Station is a railway station in the city of Suwon, South Korea. The station was completely redeveloped in 2002 and 2003, and is now integrated with the Aekyung Shopping Mall (AK Plaza). This station serves the national Gyeongbu Line and Line 1 of the Seoul subway, which runs services from Soyosan Station to the north to Sinchang to the south.

Ansan station

Ansan Station is a subway station of Seoul Subway Line 4 located in Ansan, Korea (despite its name, it is only one of several stations serving the city). It was the last station of Line 4 until extension of the line to Oido Station. It is still a terminal station for some trains. It is located close to the factory section of the town. There are many restaurants and shops located around the station. Ansan has a large and growing foreign community leaving in this neighborhood and there are many foreign restaurants close to the station.

Anyang station

Anyang Station is a ground-level metro station on line 1 of the Seoul Subway in Anyang 1-dong, Manan-gu, Anyang, South Korea. The station's sole exit offers access to Lotte Department Store, which occupies the same building. Travel time from Anyang Station to Seoul Station on Line 1 is approximately 40 minutes. Anyang Station is the main station in Anyang, but there are another six stations in Anyang, namely Beomgye, Pyeongchon and Indeogwon on Line 4, and Myeonghak, Gwanak and Seoksu on Line 1, though the latter's platforms lie within Seoul.It is connected with Lotte Dapartment Store.

Beomgye station

Beomgye Station is a station on Line 4 of the Seoul Subway network. It is between Geumjeong station and Pyeongchon station, in a newer area of Anyang, Gyeonggi-do and, heading away from Seoul, it is the last underground station on this line. It opens at 4:30 A.M. It is connected to a Lotte Department Store and newcore outlet. Lotte Department Store has been open since 2012. The name of the station literally means "tiger creek."

Bojeong station

Bojeong Station is a station of the Bundang Line; it is located in the train depot in the far northern end of Yongin, South Korea. It was built in order to relieve traffic congestion in the suburbs of Yongin, with the city bearing most of the construction costs. The current aboveground platform is non-operative; the new Bojeong Station, which opened in December 2011, is further south of the old terminal and underground.

Bucheon station

Bucheon Station is a ground level metro station located in Bucheon, South Korea. This station is on Seoul Subway Line 1. It was also once the southern terminus of the Gimpo Line, until its abandonment in 1980. An E-Mart is located in the station itself. On the north side of the station are located a plethora of restaurants, bars, and pojang-macha (street food) stalls. To the south of the station are located bus stops for buses departing to Siheung.

Byeongjeom station

Byeongjeom Station is a station on Line 1 of the Seoul Metropolitan Subway. It is the only train station serving the city of Hwaseong. It is the southern terminal station for approximately half of the subway trains on this line who then carry on to the nearby depot, one of the five depots on Line 1, with the remainder continuing to Cheonan or Sinchang Station. Many centers of higher education, including Hanshin University, Suwon Science College and the University of Suwon, are located nearby, and shuttle buses run regularly between there and the campuses. In addition, Yungneung (융릉, 隆陵) and Geonneung (건릉, 健陵) – the royal tombs of Crown Prince Sado and his son King Jeongjo, the 22nd ruler of the Joseon Dynasty – lie to the west of the station.

Choji station

Choji Station (formerly known as Gongdan Station) is a commuter railway station on Seoul Subway Line 4 in Ansan, South Korea. The city government of Ansan announced that this station would be officially renamed to Choji Station at the end of June 2012. All train services into the station are operated by Korail.

Daegok station

Daegok Station is a station on the Seoul Subway Line 3 and the Gyeongui Line. It is located in the city of Goyang, close to Ilsan. It is mainly used as a transfer station between the two lines rather than as an actual enter-and-exit stop, as the station is located in the midst of farmland with very little local resident demand. It will host a third line for transfer in the future, as the Sosa–Daegok Line will be built and brought northward around 2021. This will allow for much faster, direct subway travel between Ilsan, Gimpo Airport, Bucheon, Siheung, and Ansan.

Deokso station

Deokso Station is a train station on the Jungang Line. It was the eastern terminus of the Jungang Line commuter rail system prior to the opening of Paldang Station, and some trains still travel up to this station, before heading back to Yongsan. Deokso Station is located in Deokso, a town east of Seoul and on the north bank of the Han River.

Dongcheon station

Dongcheon Station is a metro station located in Dongcheon-dong, Suji-gu, Yongin, Gyeonggi-do, South Korea. It is located right next to the Gyeongbu Expressway and riders can immediately transfer to a bus on the highway via a bus transfer stop located directly at Exit 1. Frequent riders from Dongcheon Station to Pangyo Station can claim a cashback once they fill discounts of 200 won for every ride until 5000 won, when it can be claimed.

Dongducheon station

Dongducheon Station (formerly Dongan) is a metro station located in Dongducheon, South Korea. Seoul Subway Line 1 serves this station, and it is the station right before the northern terminus of Line 1, which is Soyosan. Camp Casey, an U.S. Army military base, is located nearby.

Geumjeong station

Geumjeong Station is a ground-level metro station on lines 1 and 4 of the Seoul Subway network in South Korea. The station is in Gunpo, a city approximately 15 km (9.3 mi) south of Seoul in Gyeonggi Province, between the cities of Anyang and Suwon. Geumjeong is an important transfer point for passengers travelling to and from southern and western Gyeonggi Province to Seoul Grand Park and Seoul Racecourse Park. The tracks are aligned to allow passengers to transfer between lines 1 and 4 on the same platform.

Geumneung station

Geumneung Station is a railway station on the Gyeongui Line. It is located in the Geumchon neighborhood of Paju city, Gyeonggi-do, in the far northern region of South Korea. Across from the station on one side is Rodeo Street, a large cluster of shops and restaurants (including Chinese, Italian, and Vietnamese eateries) housed in five-story buildings. On the other side of the station lies only a very large rice/vegetable field.

Guri station

Guri Station is a train station on the Jungang Line. It is located in Inchang-dong, Guri, behind GS Square, a large department store in the central city area. Guri Station is in Gyeonggi-do, whereas the previous western station, Yangwon Station, is in Seoul. The station has the usual array of food and convenience stores typically found in Korean subway stations. A ticket office, cash machines, and automated ticketing dispensers are located upstairs. It will become a transfer station to Line 8 in 2017.

Guseong station

Guseong Station is a subway station of the Bundang Line, the commuter subway line of Korail, the national railway of South Korea. The station was opened in December 2011 as part of the latest southward extension of the Bundang Line. Near this station, there is E-mart traders.

Gwanak station

Gwanak Station is a station on the Seoul Subway Line 1 and the Gyeongbu Line. It takes its name from a famous mountain to the northeast. Note that this station is not in Gwanak-gu, north of here. A light rail line linking this station to Gwangmyeong (KTX) and Cheolsan (Line 7) is in the planning stages. Upon completion of the proposed LR line, Gwanak Station will potentially become an important transfer point for KTX passengers in the city of Anyang.

Gwanggyo Jungang station

Gwanggyo Jungang (Ajou Univ.) Station is a major metro station located in Gwanggyo, Yeongtong-gu, Suwon, Gyeonggi-do, South Korea. Jungang means "center" in Korean, denoting the station's central location in Gwanggyo. The station is close to Ajou University and its hospital. Forming the downtown of Gwanggyo new city, the Gyeonggi Provincial Office is scheduled to be built here and it is directly surrounded by many large shopping malls such as Avenue France and World Square, a Lotte outlet and cinema and the popular Gwanggyo lake park and cafe street. The station is the country's first subway station to have an underground bus transfer station which was planned to open in early March 2016, where screen doors are installed on bus platforms so bus riders from all over Suwon can transfer to the subway directly by walking down only one floor.

Gwanggyo station

Gwanggyo (Kyonggi Univ.) Station is a metro station located in Gwanggyo, Yeongtong-gu, Suwon, Gyeonggi-do, South Korea. It is the only overground station in the line and built on the train depot. The station is located directly in front of Kyonggi University and has many shops, restaurants and bars catering for university students around it.

Gwangmyeongsageori station

Gwangmyeongsageori Station is a station on Line 7 of the Seoul Subway, even though the station itself is located in the heart of the neighboring city of Gwangmyeong. Its name was changed from Gwangmyeong Station when the KTX Gwangmyeong Station was opened in 2004.

Hanyang University at Ansan station

Hanyang University at Ansan Station is a station on the Seoul Subway Line 4 in Ansan, Korea. It is named after the city's ERICA campus of Hanyang University. Hanyang University shuttle buses stop in front of Hanyang University at Ansan Station. Buses take students from the station to the university, every 15 minutes. This station is the planned southeastern terminus of the section of the Suin Line; it will become a transfer point between Line 4 and the Suin Line when construction on the Suin Line is completed. This was originally scheduled for late 2017. Opening was delayed until 2019.

Hwajeong station

Hwajeong Station is a station on the Seoul Subway Line 3 in Goyang, Gyeonggi-do. It boasts the highest ridership out of all stations on the Ilsan Line section of Line 3. The District Office of Deogyang-gu is located to the north. It is located in the heart of a thriving zone for shopping and restaurants with E-Mart, Lotte Mart, and Krispy Kreme located near the station.

Hwaseo station

Hwaseo Station is a ground-level metro station on line 1 of the Seoul Subway in north-west Suwon, South Korea. Hwaseo offers access to several important academic, governmental and cultural locations including Hwaseong Fortress, Manseok Park, the Korean National Institute of Agricultural Science and Technology and Suwon Immigration Office, as well as being the nearest station to Seoho, a sizeable lake and park. Travel time from Hwaseo to central Seoul on Line 1 is approximately 80 minutes, with slightly shorter journey times possible by transferring to Line 4 at Geumjeong. To save time when exiting, you should try to be in the front subway cars when traveling north, towards Seoul, and in the back subway cars when traveling south, towards Suwon and Cheonan. It is planned to become a transfer station to the Shinbundang Line in 2019.

Imae station

Imae Station is a infill station on the Bundang Line of the Seoul Subway. There were originally no plans for this station when the Bundang Line opened in 1994. However, due to local resident demand and the significant distance between Yatap and Seohyeon Stations, construction began in March 2000 and the station was opened on January 16, 2004. The station became a transfer station for the Gyeonggang Line when operations commenced on September 24, 2016.
