Hyderabad

Hyderabad is the capital of the southern Indian state of Telangana and de jure capital of Andhra Pradesh. Occupying 625 square kilometres along the banks of the Musi River, it has a population of about 6.8 million and a metropolitan population of about 7.75 million, making it the fourth most populous city and sixth most populous urban agglomeration in India. At an average altitude of 542 metres , much of Hyderabad is situated on hilly terrain around artificial lakes, including Hussain Sagar—predating the city's founding—north of the city centre. Established in 1591 by Muhammad Quli Qutb Shah, Hyderabad remained under the rule of the Qutb Shahi dynasty for nearly a century before the Mughals captured the region. In 1724, Mughal viceroy Asif Jah I declared his sovereignty and created his own dynasty, known as the Nizams of Hyderabad. The Nizam's dominions became a princely state during the British Raj, and remained so for 150 years, with the city serving as its capital. The city continued as the capital of Hyderabad State after it was brought into the Indian Union in 1948, and became the capital of Andhra Pradesh after the States Reorganisation Act, 1956. Since 1956, Rashtrapati Nilayam in the city has been the winter office of the President of India. In 2014, the newly formed state of Telangana split from Andhra Pradesh and the city became joint capital of the two states, a transitional arrangement scheduled to end by 2025. Relics of Qutb Shahi and Nizam rule remain visible today, with the Charminar—commissioned by Muhammad Quli Qutb Shah—coming to symbolise Hyderabad. Golconda fort is another major landmark. The influence of Mughlai culture is also evident in the city's distinctive cuisine, which includes Hyderabadi biryani and Hyderabadi haleem. The Qutb Shahis and Nizams established Hyderabad as a cultural hub, attracting men of letters from different parts of the world. Hyderabad emerged as the foremost centre of culture in India with the decline of the Mughal Empire in the mid-19th century, with artists migrating to the city from the rest of the Indian subcontinent. While Hyderabad is losing its cultural pre-eminence, it is today, due to the Telugu film industry, the country's second-largest producer of motion pictures. Hyderabad was historically known as a pearl and diamond trading centre, and it continues to be known as the City of Pearls. Many of the city's traditional bazaars, including Laad Bazaar, Begum Bazaar and Sultan Bazaar, have remained open for centuries. However, industrialisation throughout the 20th century attracted major Indian manufacturing, research and financial institutions, including Bharat Heavy Electricals Limited, the National Geophysical Research Institute and the Centre for Cellular and Molecular Biology. Special economic zones dedicated to information technology have encouraged companies from across India and around the world to set up operations and the emergence of pharmaceutical and biotechnology industries in the 1990s led to the area's naming as India's "Genome Valley". With an output of US$74 billion, Hyderabad is the fifth-largest contributor to India's overall gross domestic product.

Secunderabad

Secunderabad or Sikandar-a-bad listen popularly known as the twin city of Hyderabad is located in the Indian state of Telangana. Named after Sikandar Jah, the third Nizam of the Asaf Jahi dynasty, Secunderabad was founded in 1806 as a British cantonment. Although Hyderabad and Secunderabad are together referred to as the twin cities, they have both different histories and cultures, with Secunderabad having developed directly under British rule until 1948 and Hyderabad as the capital of the Nizams' princely state. Geographically divided from Hyderabad by the Hussain Sagar lake, Secunderabad is no longer a separate municipal unit and has become part of Hyderabad. Both cities are collectively known as Hyderabad and together form the sixth largest metropolis in India. Being one of the largest cantonments in India, Secunderabad has a large presence of army and air force personnel.

Hayathnagar

Hayathnagar is a suburban town and Mandal in Ranga Reddy district of India about 20 km from Hyderabad,situated on NH9 highway, and is most known for the Ramoji Film City nearby. Hayathnagar is one of the rapidly developing areas in Hyderabad. NH9 as well as the newly developed Outer Ring Road pass through the area near Peddamberpet. Significant commercial and residential development is coming up the region. Currently this place has become a major junction for connectivity to all the educational institutions which are situated in the surrounding areas ahead on NH9. The Hyderabad International Airport is 20 km to the West. The center of this mandal is the village of Hayathnagar. This place is well connected to the major centers of Hyderabad by both public and private transport systems.

Purani Haveli

For the 1989 Hindi horror film please see Purani Haveli Purani Haveli is a palace located in Hyderabad, Telangana, India. It was the official residence of the Nizam. It was also known as Haveli Khadeem, which means old mansion, was constructed for Sikander Jah, Asaf Jah III by his father Ali Khan Bahadur, Asaf Jah II. The 2nd Nizam Mir Nizam Ali Khan had taken over this from Rukunudhaulah of the Momin dynasty, in 1717. The main building is a symbol of 18th century European architecture. Sikander Jha lived here for some time and later shifted to Khilwat Mahal. Due to this, these buildings are called Purani Haveli. In this building complex, Ayina Khaana and Chini Khaana were constructed. Now the South Zone Deputy Commissioner of Police and South Zone Task Force Police Addl DCP offices are being functioned here.

Tadwai

Tadwai is a village and a mandal in Nizamabad district in the state of Telangana in India, located between Kamareddy and Nijamsagar. Some of the villages of the mandal are villages Endriyal, Yerrapahad, Nandiwada, Chityal, Santaipet, Annaram, Argonda, Kondapur, Gundaram, Yellareddypalli, Baswannapalli, Vankayapalli, Somaram, Jangaldemi, Krishnajiwadi, Dewaipalli, Brimhajiwadi, Chandapur, Sangojiwadi, Kalojiwadi, Bhramanapalli, Demikalan, Kankal, Karadpalli, Tadwai and Abdulanagar. Tadwai is home to the Sri Sadguru Shri Shabari Mathaji Ashram. Every year, several Lakhs devotes gather here to celebrate Rama Navami and Datta Jayanthi. It is a spiritual center of the Telangana region and also Central India. People from various parts of the world visit this ashram throughout the year. The main occupation for many people is agriculture. Sugarcane, Paddy and corn are the primary crops. Farmers here are considered to be very good at Jaggery preparation. Tourist attractions in the Mandal include Shree Shabari Matha Ashram, Tadawai. Shree Giant Hanuman Temple, Endriyal. Endriyal Village is famous for Bajanas and received various awards at state level and also they give bajana at Thirumala Temple. Shree Mehar baba Mandhir, Kankal. Shree Giant Hanuman statue on hills of Demi Kalan. Nizamabad Ex ZP Chairmen Shree Katipally Venkat Ramana Reddy and His father Shree Katipally Raja Reddy Ex-Samiti President of Kamareddy for few terms are from this village. Shree Raja Rajeshwara Swami Temple, Krishnajiwadi. Shree Beemeshwara Temple, Santhaipet. Every year at Maha Shivarathri celebrated greatly here. People from various part of the state here and stay at night in thick forest hole night of Maha Shivarathri and participate in abhishekam. Shree Shankara Temple, Chandapoor. Shree Renuka Yellama Devi Temple and the newly opened Hanuman temple at Yerrapahad; This village celebrates Ugadi very religiously with ratha yatra and ox pulled cart races. This village has a history of producing perfumes since the 18th century by Dudappa family; Yellareddy constitution MLA Shree Anugu Ravindhar Reddy belongs to this village. Shree Shabari Matha initially lived here for few years and later moved to Tadwai asharam. Thick forest at various parts of the mandal. Waterfalls in rainy season at various parts of the forest.
